About Connected AI Apps

Connected AI Apps is an optional feature that allows you to connect Annuities Genius with supported AI assistants, such as ChatGPT or Claude.

Annuities Genius does not automatically connect an AI assistant to your account. You choose whether to connect it and complete the setup yourself.


How does the connection work?

Connecting an AI assistant does not give it full or direct access to the Annuities Genius database.

  • The AI assistant can only request information through the specific tools Annuities Genius makes available.
  • Your existing Annuities Genius account permissions still apply.
  • Nothing is automatically synced simply by connecting.
  • Information is requested when you ask your connected AI assistant to perform an available action or retrieve information.

What about client information?

If you ask your connected AI assistant to retrieve client-related information, Annuities Genius may return information relevant to your request, such as name, age, state, notes, and other applicable client information.

Information returned through the connection may be transmitted to and processed by the applicable third-party AI provider, such as OpenAI for ChatGPT or Anthropic for Claude.

For additional account protection, we recommend:

  • Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your accounts when available.
  • Reviewing your AI provider's applicable privacy and data-handling policies.
  • Only connecting AI services that you are comfortable using with the information you request.

If you are affiliated with a broker-dealer, RIA, IMO, agency, or other organization, please confirm that your organization's policies permit the use of third-party AI services with client information.

Then follow the steps to connect your preferred AI assistant:

You will still need to complete any required authorization or connection steps yourself.

What about API or MCP access?

Annuities Genius does not currently offer public API access.

Connected AI Apps uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), which allows supported AI assistants to interact with specific Annuities Genius tools based on your account permissions.

Simply put:

  • MCP is not public API access.
  • Your AI assistant does not receive unrestricted access to the Annuities Genius database.
  • It can only request information through the tools Annuities Genius makes available.
  • Your existing account permissions continue to apply.
