- Annuities from leading carriers, along with the performance data of the indices they are linked to

What are account Fees? Some annuities come with strategy options that charge a fee. Usually, the fee is there because the strategy offers benefits like higher participation rates or other special features. This fee is generally taken out of the account value once a year.
Common question we get: Under 'Account Fees,' when it shows the fees, like a 1.25% fee for a carrier on some of their indexes, When you click on the historical rates, showing the best, worst, etc., over the last 10 years—such as 13%—is that figure before or after the fee is deducted?

Rider fees are charges for any additional features or options included with your annuity. If you're new to the platform, here’s how you can find them:
- Click on the three dots in the action menu and select “Annuity Info.”
- Then, go to the “Riders” tab.
This will display the fees and provide details on what each one covers.

- The performance analyzer shows the historical performance of the indexed strategy including the index returns with the strategy rates (cap, spread, participation rates, etc.) applied. However it does not account for allocation fees. This is similar to the information you will find at the bottom of any carrier illustration that will show the (last-recent/best/worst) 10-year performance of any strategy you have allocated to.

Our illustrations depict it in the following manner:

Common question we get: When I click on "Historical Performance" on certain indexes that have only been around for a couple years, why does it show 10, 20 year or more performance?
- With many indexes that were incepted recently, the index provider will provide hypothetical back tested data based on the components of the index. The actual real returns begin on the inception date. Some advisors consider the hypothetical data to be unrealistic or unreliable and will only use indexes that have been in existence for 10 years or longer.

Here’s an explanation of that information from the index provider's website:
