How to Index your personal website to show up on Google searches

Indexing your personal website for Google searches:


(STEP 1)  


(STEP 2)  
  • Cut and Paste the address of your personal website (for example:  https://bamossy.annuitiesgenius.com) into the URL prefix "Enter URL" text box that pops up on the google search console website
  • Then click "CONTINUE"


(STEP 3)  

  • Google Search Console will produce an owner verification pop-up like the one in the screenshot below
  • click the down arrow drop down next to:

"HTML tag       Add a meta tag to your site's home page"



(STEP 4)  

  • Click "COPY" next to the HTML meta tag that the site produces


(STEP 5)  

  • Log in to Annuities Genius and open the "Website" tab in the blue menu at the top of the screen
  • select the "Advanced" tab in the "WEBSITE SETTINGS" drop down menu on the top left side of the screen



(STEP 6)  

  • Paste the HTML meta tag that you copied from the Google site into the "CUSTOM HTML CODE" text box



(STEP 7)  




(STEP 8)  

  • Google will verify that you own your personal website
  • Click on "GO TO PROPERTY" at the bottom of the verification pop-up



(STEP 9)  

  • Your Google Search Console account should now be open with your Annuities Genius Personal Website selected
  • Click on "URL inspection" in the menu on the left side of the screen 


  • Note: You may need to copy the address of your personal website into the Inspection box at the top of the screen:



(STEP 10)  
  • click on "REQUEST INDEXING" in the pop-up window that opens on your screen




After 24 hours, your personal website should now show up on Google searches.
